Pukekohe High School is a state secondary school for students from Levels 9-13 (13-18 years old). The school is in the town of Pukekohe which has a population of 28,000.Pukekohe offers a safe, friendly environment for you to learn and experience New Zealand culture. In 2019, we had students from Brazil, India, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Viet Nam and Germany to name a few.


Our school values make clear our high expectations and help to bring a sense of connection and belonging to our 1800 students, including our diverse and growing international student population who currently come from Asia, Latin America and Europe.


Our Pukekohe High School Values of Manaakitanga, Kotahitanga, Puumautanga and Araahitanga are critical in preparing our students for life in 21st century New Zealand and the wider world. Our five Houses and horizontal form structure (Whaanau Roopuu) mean that our learners are known and cared for as individuals. The school’s team of Deans, Counsellors, Nurses and Careers staff work closely together to support all our young people.
